Travel writing has many different purposes. You may wish to write about a wonderful bed-and-breakfast you found on a recent trip abroad. Or, you may write your impressions of a ten-day trip you took by train through India. Probably the easiest type of travel writing is to write about something local for people who are visiting your country.

Special interest journeys combine travel plus one or more of the following:

shopping	cycling
special accommodation	gardens
sports	art
antiques	railways/trains

Special Transportation

Some travel writing focuses on how you travel. For example you might arrange a tour using an interesting or unique means of transportation including:

scenic automobile drives	ferry	walking
special trains	bicycle	kayaking
ship	motorcycle	white water rafting
