an Academic Presentation
- Here are some questions to ask and points
to consider to help you evaluate and oral presentation at an
academic conference.
- Choose one presentation that you thought
was particularly valuable and write a report.
- Topic/Title/Presenter.
- Summarize the contents of the
presentation.
- What was most valuable for
you?
- Did the title of the presentation
accurately represent its contents?
- Were there any weak points in the
contents?
- Were there any points you would like to
see developed further?
- What are areas of the presentation that
need further research?
- Evaluate the presentation style (speaking
voice, gestures, audio visual resources, handouts,
etc.).
- Was an opportunity given to the audience
to ask questions or make comments about the
presentation?
- Would you recommend this presentation or
presenter to others interested in this topic?
