- We often accept new technologies without thinking
about how they will change our life.
- Often the change is so slow, we don't notice
the changes.
- Choose one technology in your life: cell phone,
TV, video, computer, the Internet, etc.
- Be sure it is a technology that you use a
lot.

2. Pre-writing
- Make 2 columns.
- In one list one way the technology you chose
has improved your life.
- Look into the future and try to predict other
possible good effects this technology will have on your life.
- In the other column, list the ways the technology
has had a bad effect on your life.
- Look into the future and try to predict other
possible negative effects.
3. Writing Your Composition
- Write a comparison/contrast composition that
uses the information your have put in your columns.
