Japanese Culture: Japanese Foods

I'll introduce Japanese foods.

Of course most people know the Japanese staple food is rice. We eat fish, meat, beans, vegetables, dairy products, and so on. Rice was introduced from China. Since then, the Japanese have eaten rice as a staple food

Now in Japan there are a lot of foods So we can eat anything at breakfast For example we usually eat rice, miso soup, fried eggs, salad, and so on. At lunch time I usually eat a packed lunch which my mother made. She cooks broiled fish, and boiled egg. Some times she makes Chinese noodles in soup, buckwheat noodles, bread, or some frozen foods. Then she puts them in the box. Or we can eat at the café At dinner time we eat curry and rice, stew, steak, or fish broiled with soy sauce. Here the thing which we can't miss is Japanese green tea. We drink it maybe three times a day. All over the world the English drink English tea, the Chinese drink Chinese tea, Tibetans drink Tibetan tea, so we can't do without it.

On the other hand, our eating habits have changed into western style. Even in my town there are lots of fast food restaurants and a European-style restaurant. We more often drink juice or Coke than green tea. And also our staple food is changing to bread or pasta. It's dangerous situation I think because we eat too much fat. And we forget chew our food well. So our chin will become smaller. So I think we have to be careful about health by ourselves.

Any way I want foreigners to know about good points of Japanese food. And we have to be hand down our traditional food culture.

Africa: National Parks of Uganda

I'm talking about the national parks of Uganda.

At first, I examined the republic of Uganda. So, I'll introduce it. Uganda has some qualification to be a good tourist resort, because in Uganda, there are a lot of trees that we can't imagine. It is about as large as the country of England. And people cultivate cotton. The weather is always fine, so, Uganda is like a forest. Metropolitan Kampala is a beautiful city. We can look down on Lake Victoria.

Uganda has 7 national parks. So, I'll introduce some of them. First is the Queen Elizabeth National Park. It surrounds Lake Edward and Lake George. So, this park has lakes and marshes, swamp, savanna, wooded region. Near the savanna, there are a lot of herbivorous animals. Near George lake, there are many hippopotamus and water birds. We can watch rare birds. In Maramagambo forest, there are chimpanzees, monkeys, and wild boars. In the south, there is a lion that can climb trees. It is very famous there.

Second is Marchison Falls National Park. It is surrounds Lake Arbert. At the north shore, there are giraffs. It is very rare. At the south shore, there are chimpanzees but the field of vision is bad, so, it is difficult to see animals. But this park has a waterfall called Marchison Falls. It is very powerful and beautiful.

Third is Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary. This park is an island in Lake Victoria. This park is a special park. There, people raise chimpanzees to return nature. Chimpanzees are poached by humans in Uganda and Rwanda. Now, there are about 28 chimpanzees living in the park.

Fourth is Kibale National Park. This park is a wooded region and swamp. We can walk in the park. We can see a lot of chimpanzees, monkeys, and so on.

I think you can understand about Uganda. In the world Uganda is called "The pearl of the black continent" or "Green country Uganda".
