My Favorite
" The
Erhu "
When I was attending 3rd year courses at Tokoha University
that
learned Chinese.
I loved the sound of Chinese and its history. Then I knew about " The
Erhu."
The erhu , known as " The Chinese Violin " in the west. It is a two-
stringed bowed
musical instrument, used as a Solo and large orchestras.
What attracts the most is the cover of a sound box, the skin.
It is
made from python. It gives the erhu its beautiful sound.
One of the nortable performers is Liu Tianhua, the father of Erhu
development.
He is a chinese composer and the erhu musician.
Recently, Erhu's musics are worldwide, a mix of Jazz, rock and other
genres
including Chinese standards / popular.
