American Graffiti is a movie filmed in
1973. It is set in a small town California in 1962. Curt and Steve are
planning to leave the next morning
to go to a university on the East Coast of the United States. The movie
is the story of their last night in town.

The Main Characters:
Curt:
The main character who has just graduated from high school. The
story takes place on Curt's last night in town. He is supposed
to leave home
to go to university the next morning, but is not sure if he wants
to leave his family and friends. His sister Laurie, is Steve's
girlfriend.
Steve:
Curt's best friend who is also supposed to go to university the
next day. He is dating Laurie.
John:
Is 22 years old and spends his time drag racing in his car. His
life seems to have no future. He has the fastest car in the
valley, maybe
. . .
Terry "The Toad":
A friend of the others. He rides a Vespa scooter and is looking
for a girlfriend. Steve lets him use his car because Steve's
going to university.
Laurie:
Steve's girlfriend and Curt's sister. He wants to break up
with her because he is going to university.
Debbie:
The girl that Terry picks up for the night.
Carol:
The young teenage girl that John gets stuck with while cruising
up and down mainstreet.
Bob Falfa:
The new guy in town with a hot car. Races with John at the
end of the movie.
Blonde in the T-Bird:
A blonde in a white Thunderbird car mouths the words "I love you"
to Curt. He spends the rest of the night looking for her. |
